about to call it a night...
I am sitting in the dark of my kitchen about to head upstairs with a Blue Moon Spring Blonde, to sit in bed and write out a grocery list for the things I need to get to make the grub I'm taking to the blogger meetup in North Carolina on Saturday... I am so glad I was able to make enough sales in my shop to cover the trip completely! I prayed about it and it happened, so I guess I am supposed to be there! Tomorrow is going to be busy - heading to my sister's for a get together with my siblings for dinner... lots going on, lots of time in the kitchen for sure...
Note to self: I need to find the cord that connects my phone to my laptop so I can download some tunes/podcasts to it and have something to listen to on the drive there... Mutemath, Mumford and Sons, Gillian Welch, some old James Taylor, some UPB or Bethel worship tunes and maybe a few NPR progs I've missed lately.
I am hoping that taking Shiloh with me will be a good idea all around and that she'll have fun and roll with it so Mommy can have fun too!
Right now I am realizing how anti-social and quiet my life is... about to me thrust into meeting a bunch of people I "know" but don't really know... I'm a little nervous, actually! But no need to be, I know it'll be fine, just fessin' up about it I guess.
Right now I wish this monster zit would go away.
Anyway, that is all, I just wanted to share this with y'all I guess. Good night!
Love Brooke
PS: I made this for dinner tonight - a winner with everyone!!

i hear ya about the zit. i have this HUGE one on my chin right now. it should have it's own zip code. or maybe just a name. gonna load on the tea tree oil tonight and pray it shrinks overnight!! :)
ReplyDeletehave a blast at the meet up!
I actually tried antibiotic ointment last night to see if that would work. I freaking hate having bad skin!!
DeleteI'm nervous about meeting everyone too! A big group of girls is intimidating to me for some stupid reason! Looking forward to meeting you! Have a safe trip up here!
ReplyDeleteOh Rebecca! I am so glad you're gonna be there too! It'll be great to meet you! I'll keep an eye out for you. <3 I know, it all intimidates me too. I am not much of an extrovert until I get comfortable with a group, and sometimes that happens slowly... we'll see!!! <3 (((hugs)))
DeleteHey there... found your blog via the NC meetup facebook page. I'll be there tomorrow, and I'm nervous too! It will be a lot of new people in someone's house (big house, I hope!), lots of noise, talking, and babies! But it will be fun! See you tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteaw man, hugs all around... so thankful that i am not alone... <3 can't wait to meet you lady! my little one is 17 months so I am sure we will have lots of baby stories to swap!
DeleteI think deep down we are all a little anxious and nervous. I like you am quiet and like to stay in my shell but I have learned more to get out there and be more social. May I say? This music I'm listening to through your page as I write this, is super soothing and I love it. Anyway, I'll be there tomorrow. I am excited to meet you, I have been reading your blog for a while now. I think it's good for us to come out from behind the computer and finally meet each other <3 see you there.
ReplyDeleteTia I am so glad you like the music... I worry some people will be annoyed by it but music is such a huge part of my life that I really want to share it as part of my blog. :) I am looking forward to meeting you lady!
