a walk by Sope Creek

Last Sunday we took advantage of some free time in the morning and went for a family mini-hike at Sope Creek. All of my kids are absolute champs about hiking, and never complain. But Noah Bear was to our surprise the most enthusiastic. In fact, I warned my husband about going down by the "creek" because he would NOT want to leave and would end up on Daddy's shoulders. Well, sho nuff, we ended up by the creek. Noah literally laid down in the dirt and rolled himself toward the shore while crying. We tried to play the "I'm leaving you now - bye!" trick - after which Shiloh became very concerned that we would actually leave her brother... Daddy had to go get him out of the dirt and drag him away from the river. No mistaking. He is my kid. I played in that river as a child... so many amazing memories (thanks, Mom).

Here are some photos from our time. Enjoy.
