new pad inspiration

Welp, we thought Shiloh was over her tummy bug, but it hadn't quite made it's way down into an intestinal bug yet this morning, so when she yuked all over the kitchen floor at 8AM, I knew I wasn't going to church. So, come around 9:30 - 10-ish, I just settled down next to Shiloh while she watched something on Netflix and began perusing the internet, doing all the internetty stuff one can do on a lazy Sunday morning.

Pinterest has provided some inspiration (surprise surprise) for decorating the condo. Thinking about that and the change and the fact that it'll be fun to decorate it (when we have money of course) has been "the bright side" of - or one of the bright sides of this transition - a good distraction, if you will. We will be able to use Mama C's white IKEA Ektorp couch and two white chairs. The whole downstairs has hardwood floors and I have khaki colored drapes available to me. We are going to have to paint it something neutral so that it won't have to be repainted when we leave. I am thinking about color accents and displaying pictures and art that I already have. The living room has a two story vaulted ceiling so I am also keeping that in mind. We'll start with the living room for now and later I'll post other ideas. Here are a few inspirations:

Love all the pictures hung high up... I have tons of pictures, and could get this look with what I already have.

The yellow, turquoise and red pops are what I am leaning towards... but I looooove turquoise.

This is the color pallet I am starting with.

aarrrrrrrrrrrrgh! I ADORE THIS. Though I won't be able to do this. I still love it though.

All in all I think turquoise, red and mustard will be colors I steer towards for accent... I foresee lots of spray paint and thrifting in my future...

Just wanted to share!  :)
