ladies night! (warning - photo heavy)

This past Friday night was one of those nights that the next night leaves you kind of sullen because you'd had such an epic time the night before.... does that make sense? I was invited to an overnight bachelorette party in the North GA mountains with some of my closest friends to consume cocktails in conjunction with a five course tapas menu prepared by a chef who was there just to do those very things... serve us cocktails and tapas. I had so. much. fun. Granted, when I laid my head down on the pillow at 2AM I missed my hubs and the babies, but it was worth it. I now vote that we have a regular quarterly get together as such.

So now I give you the night in pictures... I can't really remember all the exact descriptions of the food but it was a sort of spanish fusion sort of cuisine. It was great. And so were the cocktails. And the wine. And the music. And the friends.

mojitos... olive tapenade, hummus, quince bread salad...

Taylor, Jeannie & Glennis

arborio rice balls with some kind of creamy center... ricotta? can't remember

some of the ladies...

"dark and stormy" and red wine... it just kept coming.

this was a flatbread with figs and goat cheese...

some sort of meatballs... really yummy.

I can't recall what we were doing, but I took a picture of it.

this was a quail with sweet peppers... really good.

found this hat... and the dancing begins.

that's Karen - she arranged everything... long time love for that lady.

how many pics of Jeannie and Taylor can I post!?

short ribs... YUMMY

I won't even tell you why I was standing here.

winding down.
We had such a wonderful time. I had to leave super early with Glennis and Jeannie to come back to Atlanta so I could take my oldest son to the airport to go to Puerto Rico with his dad. Would have loved to stay for breakfast and sleep in. Even then, it was worth having to get up at 6AM and drive back. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Love these ladies and loved this time!

Love Brooke

  1. Oh my word. It looks like you had a fabulous time. I love how you don't look like a mother at all. So hip and sexy, even after 3 kids. I am so glad you had this time.

  2. Aw Bekah. Thank you :) I think the best compliment I could receive is that I don't look like a mother... haha! I hope I hear that for a good long while. I had so much fun. I am trying to con the girls into another getaway sometime in the next few months after my life settles down. Love you girl!
