update on gardening & landscaping progress

Well we worked our butts off for two days straight... the weather was gorgeous and I got a nasty burn, but it was worth it! We got SO much done! I even put a little summary together for your reading pleasure (more for mine)... Take a look! So much more to do but we're really getting there...

I wish I'd taken pics of the juniper insanity before I started tearing it out, but you can see in the pile on the driveway how much I yanked out... a lot of it was dead. It made me bleed. But it looks SO much better now. I cleaned out the beds and got the leaves out. Jason also dropped a tulip poplar in the upper bed.

So, for the above we...
- dropped three trees...
- planted 5 formosa azaleas
- planted 3 climax blueberry bushes and 1 dwarf variety (cross polination = a better berry, per Ryan)
- put down pine straw (where has pine straw been all my life???)

This shows a little better how much juniper I pulled out... kinda...

And here's the first planting of cold weather vegetables... I should have written down what I planted but I was in a hurry.

More to come!
