what i did last night (dontcha wanna know)

So, a little deviation from my endless days at the new pad packing, moving, packing and moving some more... always tired kids eating late Stouffer's dinners, my Mom bought us (me and my sister, to be exact) tickets to see "Motherhood" the musical.... aaaaannnd to my absolutely FAVORITE restaurant - South City Kitchen. SCK is basically Southern food with a glorified twist - every single item on the menu is just like, the best thing you've eaten, like Mamaw's cooking, slightly refined. I've been eating a whooooole lot of microwave food lately due to the time we've been spending at the town house overlapping into my typical dinnertime. So needless to say it was nice to eat some good food and drink some fine wine with other adults versus ... well... the alternative. :)

The musical was absolutely hilarious and I found myself throughout the show thinking to myself  "I'M NOT ALONE!"... Walking into the theater I realized I was about to be surrounded by a gazillion women... all with their short hair and pea coats and high heeled shoes. Every song was every cliche of motherhood, and some were those maybe we don't talk about but apparently everyone experiences! Too funny, and altogether comforting at the same time. I walked away with a "Down with laundry!" sign... how appropos.

We also celebrated my sister Lori's 41st birthday. All in all we had a great time together with my Mom and great memories were made. Enjoy this photo reel of our night!

Coming soon - updates on the garden (and harvest time!), some progress pictures of the town house so you can see what we've been up to the last couple of weeks. We are getting carpet on Monday!! Took a LOT of work to get here. Next we need to paint - praying for an economical way to get that done. And Dakota comes home on Sunday! Yay!
