I love my sweet Noah Bear so much!
We went to my friend Jeannie's on Tuesday to swap chicken viewing with greens from my garden...
the Silkie in the middle's name is Apple Butter Blossom :o) She's funny and scratches a lot. Jeannie just got her two Silkie friends... eeeeeeeep! I just love chickens.
That's Jack... our bi-polar cat. And the garden before the first bit I harvested for Jeannie. Collards, turnips, kale and lettuce (black seeded simpson variety).
Gave her 2 heads of turnip, 2 heads of lettuce and some collards... I plan to blog on how you can have your own little garden without needing a big ole yard sooon.
Noah keeps waking up a couple hours after he's gone to bed... we just let him get up and play. You handle things so differently once you have your third...
watching the Republican debate... go Ron Paul.
Noah LOVES soda water... freaks out for a sip every time he sees a can of it... :o)
Happy Noah. :o)
These next pictures are from Wednesday night. We went to my Dad's for the annual decorating of the grandkids tree over at their house. This is their last Christmas living in GA - they are moving to Kansas City as my stepmom is taking the position of Program Director at
Shelterwood - a therapeutic boarding school for teens. They will continue
their ministry work from there as well.

my nephew Davis who is 2 but weighs 12 lbs more than my 3 year old. He is a bruiser!! |
 |
Davis's dad, aka my "baby" brother, Jon, formerly a lineman for Georgia Tech... pulled the deer head out of the freezer from the hunting he did a couple weekends ago... looks creepy, eh? |

Noah watches the big kids dance. |

Dad and my stepmom, who I call "Bobba" and have since I was 5! |
And here is Thanksgiving Day...
 |
I harvested a ton of greens for a big pot of greens... turnip and collards combined... slowly chipping away at the garden. |
 |
Thanksgiving Day Harvest!! |

Pretty turnips :o) |

the delicious coconut cream cupcakes I made for Thanksgiving... |
 |
Mamaw <3 - she is a true workhorse... made a huge turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, and rolls herself... other folks brought other sides but she did most of the work! She's in her mid 80s! I love her so much. |

AND THEN MY CAMERA BATTERY DIED!!! I thought I would have a coronary...
But I did get a couple good pics of the food... with my hideously horrible camera phone...

This was my plate. Yes I ate it all. And two desserts. No I am not ashamed. |
and the laundry Jason folded (ALL OF IT) that night.
THAT IS ALL.

Well, Lori, my sister's name is Lori... hahaha :) and yes, I like my name, can't say I've ever felt it was totally ordinary which is cool. :) And yes, Noah is ridiculously cute, even more so in person. I will have to do some videos or something soon. :) welcome, btw!
