Yesterday, we celebrated our precious little man's first birthday (although his birthday is actually the 19th). It was a sweet party with sweet friends and family. I don't think it could have gone any better!
First - the decorations I made for super cheap - bought a pack of color-theme card stock for $3.99 and two spools of ribbon for $1.99 each. So for WAAAY less than that, I made these decorations and have plenty of card and ribbon left for future projects. Sure beats Party City!
Secondly - the food... my mother-in-law made a big batch of sloppy joes (from scratch sauce - sooo good - having them for dinner tonight) and we had chips and dips, fruits and veggies and lots and lots of sweets! I made a carrot cake and red velvet cake balls, and served up some yummy donuts and pumpkin pie! Some of us adults enjoyed a little PBR and wine as well. What would a kids birthday party be without it? (For the kids!) :o)
Finally, it would be no party worth having if it weren't for our precious friends, family, and the reason we celebrate, our precious Noah Bear. He is beyond wonderful, a true gift and treasure!
We had such a great time, even breaking out the Michael Jackson for a dance party at the end of the evening, and watching the MuteMath DVD with Sheryl and Alan. <3
